RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inspire and Motivate: Create a positive and engaging learning environment that inspires students to actively participate in their education.
Motivate and encourage students to set and achieve academic goals, fostering a sense of accomplishment and self-confidence.
Curriculum Development: Develops and implement effective lesson plans that align with Job Corps academic standards and objectives.
Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
Subject Matter Expertise: Instruct students in core academic subjects, including but not limited to mathematics, science, language arts, and social studies.
Provide additional support and guidance for students who may need extra assistance in specific subjects.
Individualized Learning: Identify and address individual learning needs by adapting instructional strategies and materials to meet the diverse needs of students.
Conduct assessments to gauge students' progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other instructors, counselors, and support staff to create a comprehensive and integrated approach to student success.
Participate in team meetings, professional development, and training sessions to stay informed about best practices in education.
Mentorship: Serve as a mentor and positive role model for students, providing guidance on academic and personal development.
Foster a sense of community and teamwork among students, promoting a supportive and inclusive atmosphere.
Crisis Intervention: Be prepared to respond to and manage academic and personal crises among students, working closely with support staff and following established protocols.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, progress, and achievements.
Prepare regular reports on student performance and contribute to the overall program evaluation process.
