General Summary Of Function/Purpose Of PositionThe IT Security Analyst 3 will operate as a Compliance Specialist within the Department of Technology, Management, and Budget (DTMB), supporting Agency Services Divisions. This role includes overseeing the security compliance design, planning, implementation, and support for our customer applications. The specialist ensures adherence to all Federal, State, and Industry technical security requirements.
ResponsibilitiesOversee security compliance for 100 applications with diverse requirements such as NIST 800-53, IRS Publication 1075, and DTMB Policy.
Serve as a liaison between Agency Services, DTMB staff, and external vendors.
Interpret and implement frameworks, regulations, laws, and policies relevant to state and federal security mandates.
Ensure clear communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Core CompetenciesClear presentation and communication skills.
Ability to translate complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
Strong knowledge of security policies, processes, and mandates.
Technical Skill Set Required
  • Proficiency in NIST 800-53 and IT security technical architecture.
  • Experience with external vendor management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint and Excel.
Nice To Have Skills
  • Expertise in Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standards (DSS).
  • Familiarity with IRS Publication 1075 regulations and IRS Safeguards Computer Security Evaluation
Matrices (SCSEMs).
  • Knowledge of CJIS, CMS, HIPPA security frameworks, and SOC II.
  • Experience with Keylight (by Navex) GRC Tool.
