Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and friendly Dental Receptionist to join our team. As a Dental Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring they receive excellent customer service and have a positive experience at our dental office. Your role will involve managing patient appointments, handling administrative tasks, and providing support to the dental team. This is a temporary hire while a team member is out of the office. Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a warm and professional manner
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls and address patient inquiries or concerns
- Verify insurance coverage and assist with insurance claims processing
- Collect and record patient information accurately
- Maintain patient records in compliance with privacy regulations
- Assist with billing and financial transactions
- Coordinate referrals to specialists as needed
- Ensure the waiting area is clean and comfortable for patients
- Assist with other administrative tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a medical or dental office setting is preferred
- Proficient in using dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of medical scheduling and patient service best practices
- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is a plus
