Description

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Medication order reviews and interventions as necessary to insure safe and appropriate prescribing.
• Complete and accurate entry of medication orders in the pharmacy information system.
• Facilitating safe and effective drug therapy decisions and prescribing consistent with approved protocols.
• Supervising drug preparation and distribution activities to assure safe and expedient provision of pharmaceutical care for patients and staff.
• Providing consultation and drug information to physicians, nurses and other healthcare practitioners as needed or requested.
• Compliance with department and hospital standards to insure complete records, accountability and security of controlled substances.
• Overseeing pharmacy operations, planning, and supervising pharmacy personnel according to hospital policies and state and federal laws.
• Participate in all medication management processes in the facility.

Qualifications: Bachelors of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy and Pharmacist's License in good standing in the state of Oklahoma.
