Must be at least 18 years of age and be certified by the Oklahoma State Department of Health as a Home Health Aide. Have good verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
Provides personal care services under the direction of the Registered Nurse or Therapist. The Home Health Aide is assigned to specifics clients by the Registered Nurse or other appropriate professional and performs services for clients as necessary to maintain personal comfort.
Must be a licensed driver with automobile insured in accordance with state and/or agency requirements and in good repair. Good driving record also required. Must be able to drive in all weather conditions.
Performs range of motion exercises and assistance in ambulation or exercises
Performs personal care activities, including but not limited to: bathing, shampooing, skin care/nail care, oral hygiene, shaving, dressing.
Performs household services essential to health care at home, including but not limited to: meal preparation/feeding, laundry, light housekeeping
Physical requirements include: sitting, stationary standing, walking on a variety of surfaces (inside/outside), ability to be mobile, crouching (bending at knees) kneeling/crawling, stooping, twisting (knees/waist/neck), turning/pivoting, occasional climbing, frequent balancing, reaching overhead, reaching extension, grasping and pinching. Must have use of both hands. Must be able push/pull/lift over 50 lbs.
