Acushnet is Hiring a CNC Operator/Machinist Near New Bedford, MA

Job Overview:
We are seeking skilled CNC Operators & Machinists to join our team. As a CNC Operator or Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision parts. We are hiring all shifts and open to considering Part Time employment as well. This a temporary position with a 6-8 month assignment.

Operator Responsibilities:

· Load CNC machine.

· Monitor quality of parts and cutting tools.

· Perform quality checks.

· Change tools and offsets.

Experience: 2 years CNC operating experience, ability to use inspection equipment. Golf industry experience a plus.

Machinist Responsibilities:

· Operate CNC Lathes, Mills, EDM Wire and EDM Ram machines for parts fabrication for all manufacturing equipment and ball mold cups. To include offset changes to accommodate tool wear, adjustment of speeds and feeds to ensure surface finish and tolerance as within manufacturing specifications.

· Set up CNC Lathes, Mills, EDM Wire and EDM Ram machines to fabricate parts and components for all manufacturing equipment and ball mold cups. To include program downloads from the server, identification and installation for the various cutting tools required to perform the job and work holding solutions, such as jaws or expandable collets.

· Maintain operation of equipment to include monitoring coolant levels, oil levels and chuck lubrication.

Additional Responsibilities: Verify conformance of finished work-piece to specifications, using measuring and inspection tools as necessary. Ensure that safe work practices are followed and adhered to. Detect equipment malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and adjusts Machine, within capabilities, controls as required to insure Quality of finished parts. Manage machine maintenance to ensure machine longevity and limited downtime.

Education: CNC Machinist training or successful completion of a CNC Machinist program at a Technical school.
