Responsibilities and Duties

On and Off Campus Routes - responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all on-campus & off campus shuttle routes. Duties include: driver assignments, ensuring appropriate response and resolution of issues and situations such as traffic delays, accidents, breakdowns, etc. Routinely monitor service statistics & driver performance to ensure schedules are within compliance, address issue accordingly. Working with the Associate Director to develop/modify routes & schedules. * Bachelors Degree

* At least 5 years of comprehensive experience in the transit industry, to include: daily bus operations with at least 10 drivers & multiple routes

* Knowledge of compliance programs to include: Federal DOT CDL requirements related to drivers and vehicles

* Staffing management to include: recruiting, training, performance management, etc.

* Possession of or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire - Commercial drivers license (CDL), class B or higher, passenger endorsement, no air brake restrictions

* Knowledge of transit programs to include AVL vehicle tracking systems, vehicle transit specific tablets, passenger counters, cameras, integrated display signs, paratransit software, radios, route planning & configuration software & hardware

* Higher education experience

* Passenger vehicle maintenance and experience with paratransit services
