ACTS Retirement-Life Communities is Hiring a Life enrichment coordinator Near Adamstown, MD

Acts is currently seeking qualified candidates for the role of Life Enrichment Coordinator in our skilled nursing neighborhood.

In this role, you will responsible for planning and implementing programs and events providing independent living residents an Acts Signature Experience (ASE) incorporating wellness, person-centered living and hospitality.

These ASE events will encompass the three components that define life balance and are needed for improving and maintaining quality of life : body, mind, and spirit.

Ensuring that residents of differing cognitive and functional levels have opportunities for meaningful engagement consistent with Acts Engaged Living Philosophy.

The programs offered are informed by Montessori principles of resident empowerment and engagement and based upon personal history and preferences as expressed in the residents My Story.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy, creative arts, and / or human services related field
  • Current or eligible for certification in one of the following : Therapeutic Recreation, Music Therapy, Art Therapy, Occupational Therapy Assistant, or Activity Director
  • Current or eligible for certification in CPR
  • Dementia engagement certification (or willing to obtain within 90 days of employment)
