Acts is currently seeking qualified candidates for our Fitness Trainer position.

In this role, you will be responsible for motivating and encouraging participants to reach their full potential in terms of fitness and overall wellbeing. Supports the Fitness Director in coordinating all events of the fitness and recreational programs, including initiating and implementing individual and group exercise programs and recreational programs, maintaining standards of safety, and managing quality improvement by updating programming to stay current with industry trends.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in exercise science, physical education, allied health sciences, or related human services field
  • Minimum of two years' experience in senior living personal training or group exercise instruction
  • Current accredited certificate from certifying organizations ACE or ACSM and AEA (if no certification, must be enrolled by the sixth month of employment and completed within one year after)
  • CPR and AED certification along with the ability to obtain a Lifeguard and Pool Operator certification, if needed
