We have an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Urgent Care Internal Medicine physician (or Family Practitioner willing to see adults only) to join our dynamic team. As a valued member of our practice, you will be responsible for seeing adult patients in an outpatient setting. Established patients are triaged for same-day appointments for urgent problems. This is a fast-paced setting which values efficient, highly skilled, and compassionate clinicians who can pivot between addressing minor concerns and complex conditions using a professional, efficient, and calm demeanor. You will collaborate with a team of PCPs, nurse practitioners, and other providers to diagnose and treat a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries. You will utilize an onsite high complexity lab, ultrasound, and basic radiology for stat testing to assist in your diagnosis and treatment of patients. It is expected that you will have skills in suturing, incision and drainage, and splinting. Essential Functions

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and examinations of patients to diagnose, triage and treat a wide range of medical conditions, emphasizing primary care Internal Medicine.
  • Coordinate care with specialists, primary care physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with a supportive team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, medical assistants, social workers, dietitians, population health teams, and administrative staff, to deliver high-quality care to your patients.

Encompassing 24 to 32 Clinical hours

Qualifications

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school
  • Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Practice
  • Valid medical license to practice medicine in the state of Massachusetts
  • Excellent clinical skills with a strong foundation in primary care Internal Medicine
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient centered medical care and evidence-based medicine
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based care model
  • Dedication to ongoing professional development
