Active Orthopedics Health & Wellness is Hiring a Registered Nurse / Health & Wellness - Aesthetics Near Fredericksburg, VA

Keep Active Health & Wellness is looking for an experienced RN with aesthetic clinic and IV experience or interest. As an RN at our Med Spa and Regenerative Medicine center, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, supporting and performing medical and aesthetic procedures, and ensuring the safety and satisfaction of our clients. You will work in collaboration with medical professionals and assist in various clinical and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, vital signs, and cosmetic concerns. Assist in developing individualized treatment plans.

Patient Education: Provide clients with information about treatments, procedures, post-care instructions, and potential risks, ensuring they make informed decisions.

Medical Procedure Support: Assist providers and other medical staff during various medical and aesthetic procedures, including injections, laser therapy, and regenerative medicine treatments.

Perform procedures: Perform various aesthetic, laser and regenerative procedures as skill set allows.

Infection Control: Adhere to strict infection control protocols, including maintaining a clean and sterile environment, handling and disposing of medical waste, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Medication Management: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers, ensuring proper dosages and patient safety.

Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, treatment logs, and documentation of care provided. Ensure confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies, including anaphylaxis, and provide basic life support as needed.

Patient Comfort: Ensure patient comfort during treatments and procedures, including managing pain, anxiety, and other comfort-related issues.

Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to the enhancement of patient care and safety.

Collaboration: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as PAs, nurse practitioners, aestheticians, and administrative staff, to ensure the smooth operation of the center.

Continuing Education: Stay updated on the latest medical and aesthetic procedures, regulations, and best practices in the field.

Responsibilities for IV Nutrition:

Assessment and Screening: Conduct thorough assessments to determine the suitability of patients for IV nutrition therapy. This includes evaluating their medical history, nutritional status, and specific nutritional needs.

IV Line Insertion: Skillfully insert and manage IV lines for the administration of intravenous nutrition solutions. Ensure proper placement and monitor the IV site for signs of complications.

Selection and Preparation: Work with healthcare providers to select appropriate IV nutrition solutions based on the patient's specific requirements. Prepare and mix IV solutions accurately according to established protocols.

Administer IV Nutrition: Safely and accurately administer IV nutrition therapy to patients, monitoring for any adverse reactions or complications during the infusion.

Monitoring: Continuously monitor patients receiving IV nutrition, assessing vital signs, fluid balance, and patient comfort. Recognize and respond to any signs of adverse reactions or complications promptly.

Patient Education: Educate patients on the benefits of IV nutrition, expected outcomes, and potential side effects. Ensure that patients understand the importance of adhering to the prescribed treatment plan.

Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate records of IV nutrition therapy, including the type and volume of solution administered, infusion rates, and the patient's response to treatment.

Quality Control: Ensure that all IV nutrition equipment and supplies are properly maintained and sterilized to prevent infection and contamination.

Collaboration: Collaborate with the healthcare team, including dietitians or nutritionists, to develop and adjust IV nutrition treatment plans as needed.

Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to any IV-related emergencies, such as infiltration or allergic reactions, and provide appropriate interventions.

Continuing Education: Stay up to date with the latest advancements and best practices in IV nutrition therapy to provide the highest standard of care to patients.

Qualifications:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in medical and/or aesthetic settings is preferred but not always required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $32.00 - $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week

Experience:

  • Nursing: 3 years (Preferred)

  • Orthopedic: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Emergency Room: 1 year (Preferred)
