GENERAL DESCRIPTION AND OBJECTIVES OF ROLE:
The Service Technician is a Tech Support Rep and will troubleshoot customer tech problems. The role is crucial to our operation and the operation of our customers. The Technician will ensure that all technical aspects are functioning optimally, maximizing computer system capabilities, and making recommendations. The Technician will troubleshoot and repair of IP camera systems, touchscreen HMI systems, Intercommunication systems, PLC control systems, video visitation systems, and Detention grade locking hardware on customer sites. Approximately 80% of time will require
travel to various states in the U.S.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Evaluating system potential through assessing compatibility of new programs with existing programs
· Responding to routine and emergency service calls, and performing routine preventative maintenance routines.
· Maintaining system functionality by testing computer components
· Maintain client confidence by keeping their information confidential
· Preparing reference material for users by drafting operation instructions
SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
· Driver’s License (Required)
· Excellent written & verbal communication.
· Interpersonal & Presentation skills.
· Experience with Security Electronics (e.g., CCTV, Intercoms, etc.)
· Ability to read construction Drawings & Customer Specs.
· Electronics repair of older Legacy systems.
· Excellent Computer Skills
· Strong troubleshooting skills
· Strong Mechanical Reasoning Skills.
· Must pay attention to detail & have strong time management skills.
· Ability to pass a criminal background check & drug test (Required).
· Must be a Team Player & genuinely love helping people.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience with electronics and Security systems.
· Clean background and driving record.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Associate OR Equivalent Work Experience in Electronics and Security
