Description

ActioNet has an immediate opportunity for a Test Engineer located in Baltimore, MD. ActioNet is an IT service provider and solutions integrator headquartered in Vienna, VA that works with the Federal Government and Department of Defense.

You will be a member of a Testing and Operations Support Services (TOSS) testing group, performing testing activities comprised of Functional, System, Validation, Regression, and Performance test functions. You will develop test cases from customer business requirements and user stories, present your testing approach and test cases to the Customer for approval, perform the assigned tests, and assist in the preparation of Test Summary Reports. This is a customer-facing role, requiring excellent English communication skills, both written and oral; strong technical testing and analysis skills; attention to detail; and, commitment to quality service and continuous process improvement. The incumbent is also expected to perform specialized testing of MicroStrategy and Section 508 compliance.

Responsibilities: *

1. Define functional test cases from business requirements and user stories.
2. Document and deliver test cases for peer review and customer approval.
3. Perform functional, regression, Performance, and specific S508 compliance testing of target software, providing detailed evidence of deficiencies.
4. Summarize test results for presentation in a Production Readiness Review and release documentation.

Skills Required: *

1. Strong experience with appropriate testing techniques.
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in American-standard English.
3. Windows 7.x and Windows 10 desktop experience. (3 years) including Microsoft Office Suite (2013).
4. Solid working knowledge and understanding of Internet-based applications, architecture, and operation within cloud-based and hosted environments. (3 years)
5. Experience with ServiceNow; experience with common S508 evaluation tools.

Skills Preferred: *

1. Familiarity with X.12, and EDI highly desired.
2. Experience with Test Automation using ServiceNow and TIBCO Classic.
3. Working knowledge of TIBCO Classic, WebSphere, SharePoint File Transfer, and/or EDI.
4. Basic networking, Client-Server, and web-based application knowledge, EDI and Portal applications.
5. Strong desire to learn, recommend and implement improvements, and deliver the best possible customer experience to the end-user.
6. Experience in Business Analysis.
