Job Description: As a Senior System Administrator (Compute) at ActioNet, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the efficiency and performance of our compute infrastructure. You will serve as the systems architect, responsible for improving the current state and designing the next-generation compute environment within an Enterprise data center. Your role will require you to excel at troubleshooting highly complex problems to resolution and to train and mentor Junior Level System Administrators to ensure the continued growth and development of our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the systems architect for improving and optimizing the current compute infrastructure and designing the next-generation compute environment.
• Plan, design, and install virtual hardware, software, and compute resources within an Enterprise data center.
• Troubleshoot and resolve highly complex compute-related issues.
• Train and mentor Junior Level System Administrators to enhance their skills and capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless operation of compute systems.
• Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies in compute administration.
• Maintain documentation and contribute to the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred).
• Greater than twelve (12) years of experience with planning, designing, and installing virtual hardware, software, and compute resources within an Enterprise data center.
• Must have one or more certifications:
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
  • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
  • VMWare Certified Design Expert - Data Center Virtualization
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)
  • NetApp Certified Data Administrator
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve highly complex compute-related issues.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
