Action Water Sports is looking to fill the position of Boat Service Technician at our Hudsonville location. Our Hudsonville location services the West side of Michigan and carries premier brands such as MasterCraft Boats, Cobalt Boats and Barletta Pontoons. *Must have both mechanical and electrical experience.

Tasks Include:
– Repairing and replacing parts
– Examine boats to determine the extent of damage or malfunctions
– Review work orders and discuss work with service writers
– Disassemble units and inspect parts for wear, using a computer
– Test and adjust repaired systems to meet manufacturer’s performance specifications
– Follow checklists to ensure all important parts are examined
– Attend training when needed
– Assist in other areas when needed
– Communicating with customers and service personnel to identify and procure parts needed
– Additionally, responsibilities include assisting with inventory management and parts sales for the multiple brands we represent

Technical and Physical Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to work safely around the water
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Basic boat handling skills preferred
• Provide your own basic tools and tool storage

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $35.00 per hour
