Action Staffing Group is Hiring a Tool & Die Maker (FT) Near Paul, MN
Two shifts available: 7a-3:30p and 3:30p-12aFor 2nd shift, you will need to train on 1st shift to start
- Designs, builds or repairs intricate and complicated tools, dies, gauges and fixtures to extremely close tolerances.
- Performs difficult development work and builds tools where no designs are available. Proficient with multi-station progressive dies and intricate compound dies.
- Proficient with all tool room machine operation including CAD/KEY designs, CNC lathe and mill tool path creation, WEDM programming and operation.
- Requires high degree of experience and trade skill and thorough knowledge of all toolroom practices and technologies.
- Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. Fabricate, modify, or repair mechanical components using blueprints, sketches, or specifications.
- Study blueprints, sketches, models, or specifications to plan sequences of operations for fabricating tools, dies, or assemblies.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Tool and Die Maker Required
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and measuring instruments - manual caliper and micrometer.
- Strong knowledge of stamping press operations and tooling requirements.
- Experience with CAD software for designing tooling components.
- Journeyman experience a plus.
