Description:

Will provide technical planning, biological process and mechanical design and construction support on various water and wastewater treatment and resource recovery projects. projects that may include combined sewer overflow, collection system, pump station, stormwater, hydrologic and hydraulic models and/or other water and wastewater projects

• Will prepare engineering calculations, run process models (i.e. Excel spreadsheet, Biowin, GPS-X, etc.) and support analysis of alternatives.
• Utilize effective technical writing skills to prepare technical memoranda to document alternative analyses, basis of design, business case evaluations, P&ID reports etc.
• Prepare design reports and construction plans for treatment plants and pump stations using local and state standards
• Prepare/assist with specifications and permit submittals
• Assist with/review scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasks
• Monitor task budget and progress
• Document design changes and communications
• Conduct on-site inspections and technical guidance for start-up as needed
• Prepare project status and other reports
• Assist in the preparation of proposals
• Attend client, public, project and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, pre-construction, etc.
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
• Maintain excellent client relations

Skills:

Wastewater, pumping station, Civil engineering, environmental engineering, water treatment, water resource engineering, pe license

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

MUST HAVES:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• Licensed PE or ability to obtain one within 6-12 months
• 8 plus years of experience working on Water Resource projects, including large-scale piping, valve, pumping systems, and treatment technologies

BONUS:

• 10 plus years
• GLWA project experience
