This is a Field position that supports a company that is one of the largest outside electrical contractors in it's region providing transmission, distribution, substation and telecommunication services.

Your responsibilities will be:

• Effectively interface with utility and construction personnel
• Prepare/understand line design parameters, right codes and construction standards
• Provide support to engineering professionals in design projects ranging from pole relocations, line rebuilds to the complete design of new transmission or distribution lines
• Prepare and/or review transmission and distribution line hardware and structure assembly drawings
• Maintain/review project budgets, schedules and estimates
• Work in the field cover the state of Louisiana

Your experience should include:

• ikeGPS or Katapult pole measuring software
• Ability to read an interpret tech specifications
• Familiarity with local regulations and guidelines
• Experience in writing and providing support documentation for engineering calculations
• Familiarity with design codes and standards such as WAC, NESC, IEEE, ANSI, IBC
• Familiarity with construction & constructability practices, principles and standards
