Specialty: Internal Medicine
Medical Assistant daily role:
- Greeting and rooming patients
- Recording vitals
- Phlebotomy
- Patient education
- Update patient history using Epic EMR system
- Assist providers in procedures
- Must be comfortable performing administrative duties including scheduling appointments, performing insurance verifications, & also prior authorizations
- Respond to patient messages
- Assist at the front desk
Work environment:
- This role includes both clinical and administrative duties
- Fast paced Internal Medicine office, 10-20 patients per day
- Must be comfortable floating to satellite offices as needed (will be notified in advance)
Schedule & Locations:
· Two Shifts available: will either be 7:30-6pm or 8:00-5:00.
· Full time 40 hour work week
· Monday - Friday, no weekends required!
Must Have Requirements:
- 1 year of medical assisting experience
- Internal Medicine experience not required but preferred
- Must be comfortable working with all ages
- Must be comfortable commuting between offices as needed (rare occasion)
- Must have medical assistant diploma, CMA/RMA preferred
- Must have prior EMR/EHR experience, Epic preferred
