Description:

Actalent is currently looking for a Transmission Operations & Maintenance Engineer in the Dallas, TX area. Candidate will be responsible for the following:

Reporting to the local District Manager, the candidate provides support for substation operations and maintenance team including planning maintenance activities, developing scopes of work, completion of analytical studies, facility condition assessments, technical equipment support, and coordination with suppliers and service providers. Applies approved programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with transmission operating reliability requirements. Interpret and advise transmission operations and maintenance personnel of transmission maintenance issues.

• Plan, schedule, and Manage maintenance activities with 3rd party contractors and suppliers.

• Coordinate resources and materials required to complete preventative maintenance activities with internal maintenance crews.

• Collaborate with peers or other consultants to identify, define, or solve practical problems in support of transmission design, maintenance processes and compliance programs.

• May be assigned to develop plans, specifications, evaluations design standards, and perform engineering studies associated with the design, operation, and maintenance of transmission systems.

• Ensures record keeping and retention meets regulatory, internal, and other requirements.

• Other duties as assigned.
