This candidate will be responsible for participating in design teams in the development and completion of projects in various departments.
Responsibilities:
• Preparation of reports, designs, and drawings.
• Ability to complete structural calculations with different design materials, specifically steel and concrete.
• Familiarity in appropriate selection of building materials.
• Understand the steps of project development and be familiar with the traditional phased approach to industrial projects.
• Prepare cost estimates and/or appropriation request for capital projects.
• Point of contact for clients to ensure design meets their needs and objectives.
• Develop and maintain client relations.
Requirements:
• B.S. in Structural Engineering or related discipline from an accredited institution.
• 2-6 years of applicable experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, PLS CADD, SDS2 or other similar software.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to handle multiple projects at once.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and time management skills are required.
• Ability to work well under pressure of deadlines, exhibit good business judgement and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
