Description:

Actalent Engineering has a client in the Renewable Energy industry looking for a Software Infrastructure Engineer to join their Infrastructure Team. You will design and develop the systems or tools necessary for the reliable build, test, and deployment of our client's energy management software (EMS), HybridOS. These systems are located on remote, secure, and near air-gapped networks that require deployment strategies than the now typical cloud-based pipelines.

Major Job Responsibilities:

• Designing and developing the infrastructure software for the HybridOS energy management platform
• Improving and supporting the continuous integration and delivery pipeline from Git to Jenkins to Artifactory
• Encouraging software enablement by maintaining a standard development platform for software engineering via virtual machines and/or development containers
• Supporting field deployments of new systems and migration of legacy systems
• Providing technical leadership to the team and mentoring junior engineers

Qualifications:

• Minimum of four (4) years of work experience
• Proficient with Git, JIRA, continuous integration, and multiplatform development environments
• Experience with:
  • 3 years of experience in compiled languages like C and Go
  • Experience with scripting languages like Python, Ruby, Bash
  • 3 years of experience working with popular Linux environments (Fedora, RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu)
  • Comfortability using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, or Chef
  • Experience working with structured and unstructured databases in high-availability production environments.
  • Understanding of the fundamentals of TCP/IP networking
  • Experience with virtual machines (Vagarant, KVM, Hyper-V, VMWare) and containerized environments (Docker)

Nice to Have's!

• Experience troubleshooting production issues
• Hand-on experience working with cloud deployments in AWS, Azure, or GPC
• Experience with data visualization tools like Grafana
