Sample Management Technician (day shift)

Description:

Our client, a global leader in healthcare diagnostic and research advancement, is looking to add to their team of dedicated and knowledgeable laboratory professionals! They are looking for multiple Sample Management Technicians to join their team, across two locations. The sample management team is an integral part of our client's overall function - as these team members will be inspecting, receiving, and routing all incoming client specimens. As the company looks to kick-off a largescale project in pharmaceutical and healthcare research, they are looking for extra support in the following areas:

• 2 Sample Management Technicians in Indianapolis
• 1 Sample Management Technician in Greenfield

This is an amazing opportunity for professionals looking to gain valuable experience related to the Health and Human Sciences industry! The Sample Management Technician will be expected to report onsite Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm (weekend overtime hours as needed). We are looking to kick off interviews as early as next week - so if you are interested DO NOT HESISTATE! Daily Duties:

• Inspect and receive specimens
• Determine storage and department per specimen
• Label and place in correct storage
• Pull samples that are scheduled throughout project requirement
• Will be responsible for sample handling in all environments, including sub zero freezers, dry ice, refrigerators as needed
• Will be walking and standing for long periods of time
• Fast paced and requires great attention to detail

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

MUST HAVE:

• High School and/or GED Completion
• Some College - Associates or Bachelor in Life Science
• Assembly and manufacturing experience
• Must be detail oriented and efficient
• Great attitude, able to work independently and in a team setting
• Ability to lift 30 lbs and handle dry ice

NICE TO HAVE:

• Associates / Bachelor DEGREE in Life Science
• Specimen Handling experience
• Experience with industrial freezers / dry ice
• Data entry and tracking processes
