Actalent Services (formerly EASi LLC) is hiring an Engineering Project Manager for a permanent leadership role managing plant engineering projects within our Manufacturing vertical. Preferred candidates will possess strong technical experience as a plant engineer and proven project engineering and project management experience and be offered hybrid flexibility with minimum travel (less than 20%) if local to our engineering center in Troy, MI.The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple center-based managed projects through all phases of development, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, control and closure. The Project Manager will work closely with program management to procure or hire internal employees/consultants for projects and with internal support functions to deliver a great customer experience while providing leadership and direction to our project teams and ensure that all projects meet their Cost, Quality and Timing requirements. This role requires maintaining and growing relationships with key customer stakeholders and Actalents center-based/onsite engineering team to enhance project performance in support of customer business goals.Essential FunctionsManage multiple center-based/onsite managed projects through all phases of development, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, control and closure while following Actalents Services Management Framework (SMF)Ensure compliance to customer specifications, quality standards, regulatory requirements, company work rules and procedures and safety requirementsDevelop and manage project plans, budgets, schedules and documentation including change management, risk mitigation and reportingDevelop tracking methods to monitor customer and internal KPIWork closely with Delivery Operations team to align project management with account managementDistribute workflow from customer to Group Leaders and Practice Managers to allocate to their teamsMaintain a high level of relationships with all customer stakeholdersUtilize program management skills of communication, presentation, time management, organization and planning to successfully achieve program goals and objectives and SLAsConduct periodic status meetings with customers and team to assess progress against the planPrepare and deliver weekly and monthly status reports to Actalent Services' management and appropriate client recipientsWork closely with Delivery Operations to resolve all project issues with customer and suppliers as appropriate while working with Actalents internal teamsAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelors Degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial or manufacturing engineering requiredMinimum 8 years professional experience; 5 years plant engineering experience as individual contributor with 3 years experience in project engineering, project lead or project management role(s)Technical experience with P&IDs, plant build and installation oversight, contractor selection and management and construction management requiredEngineering experience in multiple manufacturing or industrial industries (i.e. food&beverage processing, transportation/heavy equipment, industrial products manufacturing, package/parcel handling environments ect.) highly desiredExperience working for engineering services providers strongly preferredAbility to effectively present to large customer groupsExcellent oral and written communication skillsGood organizational and time management skillsDemonstrated leadership abilities with managing large dispersed teams with diverse skillsetsTeam player with ability to work in a highly cross-functional and virtual environmentAbility to travel when needed, up to 10%PMP Certified a plus; proven knowledge of project management methods requiredHighly proficient in PC applications- MS Office suite of toolsAdditional Compensation / Benefits:$90,000-$115,000 base salary, $10,000 annual bonus potential, employee profit sharing program, 4 weeks paid time-off, 6 paid holidays, monthly cell phone allowance, 401(k) w/company match, M/D/V benefits ( REFCR2023 )About ActalentActalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
