Actalent is Hiring a Project Engineer (Construction) Near Brighton, MI

Description:

We're searching for a driven Construction Project Engineer to plan and manage a diverse portfolio of improvement projects in the surrounding area. You'll oversee large cap ex projects, including unit renovations, common area remodeling, MEP upgrades, exterior enhancements, and roofing projects.

Responsibilities:

• Lead construction projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to program guidelines.

• Conduct property condition assessments, creating project scope, budget, and timelines.

• Collaborate with design teams, site personnel, architects, and subcontractors for on-time, on-budget, and high-quality project execution.

• Manage all project documentation.

• Assist in scheduling, maintaining, and reporting project milestones and progress.

• Utilize design, construction, and program scheduling knowledge.

• Facilitate pre-construction, ongoing, and post-construction communication via on-site meetings and on Teams.

• Oversee project reporting and ensure successful project outcomes.

• Maintain program quality standards through safety protocols, quality inspections, and final project completion.

-This person will be working onsite for the development owner of the GC

-Will help support their Sr. Living community book of business for MI

-Opportunity to travel to sites for project meetings occasionally

Work Environment

-8am-5pm; 45 hours/week roughly in office and on job sites in a salary capacity. Occasional Saturdays depending on the project's needs

-60 employees total. 8 PM's and 4 PEs.

-Business casual attire in office

-All PMs report to Project Directors

-Culture: HUGE on quality of work. Our client views themselves as a smaller/mid-size company that does big projects. In order to keep this reputation and continue to land big projects, they don't have time to mess up or give a client a bad taste. Also, very big on learning, individual growth and training.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering.

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Project Engineer at a GC

• Willingness to travel to various project sites, work in our Livingston County or Oakland County offices occasionally, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Adobe Suite, Project, Procore, Open Space, and SmartSheet.
