Actalent is Hiring an Ophthalmic Technician Near CARMEL, NY

We are hiring an ophthalmic technician for a largest independent multispecialty medical group in New York State, providing comprehensive medical care of the highest quality to over 640,000 patients in more than 45 locations !

LOCATION:

Carmel Hamlet, New York, 10512

Jefferson Valley location as well

SCHEDULE:

MON-FRI, DAYS 8:30AM-5:30PM

JOB DUTIES:

Traditional duties

Checking patients in// rooming patients

Questionnaires

Taking Vitals

Specimen Collection

Assisting the provider with scribing, setting up tools and equipment for the room, sterilizing tools and room, room turnover, patient questionnaire.

Handling all EMR: Athena / Nextgen

Certification:

Preferred certification as a certified Ophthalmic Assistant by the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO)

 Must have BLS Certification

Physical Demands:

Requires a full range of motion including manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Frequent standing, walking and sitting for long periods of time is required. Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 20 lbs. Requires visual acuity and normal color perception.
