Description:

Performs analyses in hematology, chemistry urinalysis, coagulation, blood bank and microbiology according to expected performance standards. Performs venipuncture, finger stick, or heel stick on identified patients by physician's request in a timely, accurate and caring manner. Keeps documented records current regarding maintenance and quality control. Meets the lab service goals as scheduled or report problems to lab director. Promotes adherence to the Company's Code of Business Conduct and the Corporate Compliance Agreement by monitoring employee performance and identifying and responding to compliance issues. Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company's Code of Business Conduct, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

1. Ensure quality control procedures are performed and documented per lab policy.

2. Identify and resolve QC or equipment issues

3. Knowledge of current medical terminology to perform full range of laboratory testing as well as communicate effectively with medical staff.

4. Ability to perform or learn microbiological testing.

5. Will be testing samples using molecular analysis, serological analysis, isolation and identification of microorganisms or their antigens/nucleic acids.

6. Evaluate, interpret, and validate lab results and report findings.

7. Maintain an inventory of lab supplies and order as needed to ensure testing needs are met.

8. Assist in preparations of epidemiology and/or statistical reports from data complied on a daily, weekly, monthly, or annual basis.

9. Maintain competency in all trained areas.

10. Performing related work as required.

11. Maintains a working knowledge of laboratory computer systems.

12. Bachelors in Medical Lab Science or Clinical Lab Science with 0-1 years of experience

13. Associates in Medical Lab Technology with 6 months-1 year of experience

14. ASCP or AMT certification in MLS/MLT/CLS/MT (Candidates are not required to have certifications upon application but must be eligible to sit within 1 year of employment)
