Description:

• Candidate will handle workload from proposal and sales team to come up with a comprehensive design of industrial automation equipment.
• Candidate will support work for retooling lines for OEM customer, New stations and relocations for supplier customer, Weldments and Weld fixtures and cell design for supplier customers as well as other automotive tooling lines involved in exhaust assembly, body assembly, Retooling lines, Powertrain assembly machines, Leak test stations and Industrial washers.

Day to Day:

• 7:00am-4pm (Flexible time in/out) 45 hours a week on average
• 80%: Designing in Solidworks- 3D design and 2D layout (Design components, welding cells, End effectors, Robotic cells, Conveyors, Rollers, Leak test stations, Assembly stations, Re-design of automated tooling lines
• 10%: Participate in Internal/External Functions of the business (Client meetings, Lineup Meetings, Lessons learned, Design reviews)
• 10%: Travel to customer sites for design verification (travel can be international as they are a global company, Germany, Canada)

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• 3 Years Experience designing in 3D Cad packages such as (Solidworks or Inventor)
• 3 years Experience Designing Industrial Automation Equipment (Tooling lines for BIW, Powertrain assembly, Layout design for relocation of cells/Cell positioning on plant floor)
• 1 Year of Retooling Design Experience
• Ability to travel Internationally if needed less than 20% for a few days to a week at a time for design verification

Pay: $91,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
