Seeking a Construction Materials Inspector. This engineering firm is an industry-leader in construction inspection and testing for a diverse range of projects. Responsible for performing various tests and inspections on building materials such as concrete, soil, asphalt, aggregates, and more to ensure they meet project specifications and codes. These activities will be performed in the field on mid to large size construction sites, including capital improvement, subdivision, utility, site development, roadway, and more. Must be comfortable working on a construction site outdoors in various weather conditions. Will be traveling to job sites in company truck or personal vehicle depending on availability. Most of the work is within a 1 hour radius of Central Ohio. May require overtime and weekend work.
Responsibilities:
•Speak with team members on a construction site, including the contractor and owner’s representatives.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
-High school diploma
-1-3 years construction materials testing OR construction inspection experience
-ACI, Nuclear Gauge, or other certifications strongly preferred
-Ability to travel locally (no overnight travel required)
-Ability to work overtime and weekends when required
-Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $42,000.00 - $52,000.00 per hour
