Laboratory Manager | Paying up to $60/hr.

Description:

• Lead the department, including oversight of quality control/quality assurance processes, facilities, and regulatory filings/compliance.
• Test new and improved laboratory methods and procedures.
• Serve as an effective communicator of the unit/team’s vision and goals.
• Demonstrate personal effectiveness in leading the unit/team toward its goals.
• Manage his/her organizational responsibilities in a way that supports the achievement of the unit/team’s goals. Work effectively with others in the management team and their staff to accomplish organizational goals and to identify and resolve problems.
• Model appropriate values and maintain social, ethical, and organizational standards.
• Use appropriate interpersonal styles and methods to develop a unit/team wide spirit and intra-team cooperation.
• Evaluate staff performance, set work objectives and performance improvement activities.
• Supervise training of other staff.
• Participate in planning activities for other divisions within the facility.
• Evaluate quality control and quality assurance statistics and modify SOPs and manuals as needed.
• Enforce safety procedures.
• Take responsibility for own learning needs and improving deficits.
• Participate as a member of a team to achieve organizational goals.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Ph.D. or Master’s degree in immunology or related discipline with at least 5 years job-related experience or Bachelors degree with 10 years experience in related field.
• Experience with PCR, flow cytometry, ELISA and other routine immunological assays.
• Experience with FDA Good Laboratory Practice Guidelines.
• Aseptic processing experience.
• Pharmaceutical or related industry experience with 2 years in a GMP facility.
