Description:
The candidate will be working collaboratively with a large production team of FTE’s and contractors to deliver daily and weekly genotyping targets under tight deadlines. The candidate will primarily be responsible for monitoring, managing, and procurement of Precision Genomics inventory and supplies. The role will also include additional various tasks in sample receiving, reagent inventory auditing, and various lab inventory related tasks. Must have supply management skills.
Desired skills for the ideal candidate:
• Communication: This role success and failure relies on the candidates’ communications skills. The candidate must be willing to communicate across multiple modes of action. This will include verbal, over the phone, through emails, and on social media voice over internet protocol applications such as Teams. The candidate also must be able to communicate with a wide range of people with different backgrounds.
• Computer literacy: Must be familiar with using computers and analytical software or at least willing to learn how to use a variety of analytical software to be successful at the position. For example, Spotfire or Maintenance Connection. Must be willing to use tracking software to monitor supplies. Experience with python is a plus. Need a candidate who is willing to use various technologies to succeed at the position.
• Demonstrate reliability: This is a business-critical position to keep our department running 7 days a week across multiple shifts. The candidate must be a reliable presence on site. Position may require flexible or off shift hours during peak times.
• High Throughput/production/Inventory management: Precision Genomics is comprised of multiple smaller functional teams with various high throughput process, all with fast turnaround times. Any experience handling large inventory with variable use rates or in a fast-paced environment (retail, food service, etc) is a plus. Experience with LIMS is a plus.
• Agility: The candidate will need to respond to events as they come and take appropriate action sometimes on their own. This role will face various challenges unknown challenges in which the candidate must be able to divert as needed.
• Innovative: The candidate must be able to re-organize and develop solutions to not only physical store areas, but also digital formatting of the inventory. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are also needed in this area.
• Attention to detail: Need to be thorough and accurate for this role, no matter how large or small the task, accuracy is key.
• Company Ally: The candidate will be talking with vendors on the companies and group behalf; thus the candidate must be able represent the company in a professional manner, but also rigid enough to not allow vendors to rout them.

Primary Duties
• Manage Precision Genomics inventory.
o Counting, tracking orders, moving inventory, Giving updates on the supply.
• Inventory Data analytics:
o Developing and maintaining inventory analytics using a variety of analytical software. For Example, spotfire or Maintenance Connection.
o Input data and interpret the data to lab teams.
• Working with vendors on any ordering issues, and planning
• Coordinate with lab team members on their needs.
• Finding alternatives for backorders
• Communicate with different functional teams.
• Ordering office supplies.
Secondary Duties (These are lab goals related to inventory logistics but can fulfill lab objectives)
• Asist in receiving.
• Audit assay inventory stock
• Maintaining communication with external Precision Genomics teams.
• Perform inventory audits for multiple groups within Precision Genomics
