Embedded/Software Engineer - Cookeville, TN

Description:

Responsible for designing, coding, testing, and documenting code for our embedded software products in addition to:

• Designing microcontroller firmware for new products
• Working with the electrical and mechanical teams to produce highly integrated designs
• Ensure that new product design meets the requirements set forth in Product Requirement Documents
• Coordinating with the hardware design team to ensure that current software fully implements hardware functionality
• Troubleshooting firmware problems to find root-cause and propose improvements for existing applications
• Working with electrical engineering team to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues discovered in new and existing products
• Supporting production teams of bench technicians, assemblers, and quality control personnel with test routines and troubleshooting tools
• Providing maintenance for existing software and legacy products

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• 0-5 Years of Experience (Co-Op, Internships included)
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. If they have experience with RF, Bluetooth or WIFI connected devices this is a plus.
• Experience in any of the following areas would be a plus: C development, GUI design and development, device driver development, C#/.NET development, Linux-based development environments
