Seeking an Entry Level AutoCAD Drafter in Portland, TN!

Job Description:

• Work closely with the Product Engineer and cross-functional team to develop product designs that satisfy the customer’s needs and represents the best balance of cost, manufacturability, form, fit, function, appearance and quality
• Ensure implementation of new products and changes to existing products are consistent with new product development plans, Bill of Materials (BOM), Engineering Change Requests(ECR), First Article Inspections(FAI), and Cost Reduction/Standardization plans
• With the assistance of manufacturing engineering, dimension and tolerance component features assuring that selected tolerances are within manufacturing capability
• Incorporate GD&T on drawings, perform tolerance stack-up analysis to ensure accuracy and manufacturability
• Checks engineering drawings and assemblies using accepted engineering/drafting practices and standards
• Constructs and or develops product, system, subsystem or component data files in file formats that would be compatible with other CAD systems and systems that take advantage of techniques such as Rapid Prototyping
• Prepare/build prototype parts, assemblies and test fixtures. Collect and analyze test data.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficient in SolidWorks or AutoCAD
• Must have experiences with mechanical design enclosures and electrical design knowledges is preferred
• Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, design, and ensure manufacturability of plastic injection-molded components a plus
• Working knowledge of design tools such as Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) a plus but not required
