DESCRIPTION

Conduct electrical design and engineering tasks for a variety of projects, with a focus on design/build initiatives.

Develop comprehensive electrical plans, specifications, and drawings in accordance with project requirements, codes, and standards.

Perform load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and short circuit analysis to ensure electrical systems meet safety and performance criteria.

Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and clients to identify project objectives, constraints, and design preferences.

Provide technical expertise and guidance on electrical systems, equipment selection, and installation methods.

Review and analyze construction documents, proposals, and specifications to identify potential issues and value engineering opportunities.

Prepare and present project proposals, estimates, and design recommendations to clients and stakeholders.

Conduct site visits and inspections to verify compliance with design specifications, code requirements, and industry standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design and engineering, with a focus on design/build projects.

Experience with Electrical Contractor highly preferred

Estimating experience is a plus

Proficiency in electrical design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar programs.

Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations (NEC, NFPA, etc.).

Experience performing load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and short circuit analysis.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.

Familiarity with construction processes and building systems integration.
