Description:

As an Electrical Design Engineer you will be working as part of the Engineering design team working alongside Mechanical, Software and Manufacturing Engineers supporting existing and new machine designs. This involves the concept development, prototyping, electrical and pneumatic designs, schematics, panel layout and documentation of electrical designs within the product development environment. This position requires coordination and collaboration of activities with other departments from sales through to assembly and machine installation support when required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering, or 8 years of design experience

• Machine or Process Startup Experience

• 4 Year AutoCAD electrical experience

• 4 Years of electrical system design, installation, and support

Responsibilities

• Ensures electrical panel design layouts, electrical drawings, and for developing formal requirements specifications are in accordance with the latest, Good Automated Manufacturing Practices (GAMP) guidelines, IEEE specifications.

• Understanding of NEC and UL508A standards

• Responsible for design, develop, test, and supervise the manufacture of electrical equipment.

• AutoCAD Lite/Electrical knowledge

• Produce complete BOM’s and drawings for electrical schematics, control panels, and cabling.

• Design experience of Control panels for mid-size industrial system

• Experience in designing electrical system using 3 phase AC motors, VFD, Servo motors etc

• Experience in designing electrical system for conveyors, linear actuators.

• Electrical system design using PLC, Digital/ Analog IO, encoders, sensors etc
