Actalent is currently hiring Electrical and Electromechanical Engineers with hands on design experience that are looking to advance their career and skillset within the industry. This is a great opportunity with a hybrid work schedule! Qualified candidates must be permanently located in the Greater Kansas City area with the ability to be onsite if/when needed.

Description:

• Responsible for the design of electrical vehicle subsystems and components including, but not limited to, high voltage power distribution, low voltage power distribution, and electrical harness design.
• Ensure that components and systems meet specified technical product demands, product safety requirements, legislations requirements, and internal demands for products.
• Support prototype build troubleshooting and support root cause analysis in designs.
• Initiate and order testing for verification and evaluation of a design.
• Plan and perform activities according to specified requirements and time schedule.
• Respond to service, production and supplier issues.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Controls, or Computer Engineering is required.
• Minimum of 3 years experience with design, development, and testing of electrical, controls, or mechatronic components or systems for heavy-duty equipment or vehicles.
• Experience with MATLAB, Simulink or dSpace for component/system functionality and performance analysis.
