Actalent is Hiring a Cost Estimator Near Alexandria, VA

Construction Cost Estimator | Alexandria, VA

Description:

10 years cost management/estimating experience on medium to large-scale construction projects with specific reference to the MEP trades.

•Deep knowledge of the Mechanical trade, ideally with a working knowledge of the Electrical trade, but not required.

•Bachelors or higher degree in a construction related discipline or equivalent field experience.

•Communication and organization skills.

•Ability to effectively plan, manage time and problem solve.

•Capacity to work in a team setting with minimal supervision or direction.

•Experience in writing business documents, such as reports, detailed letters, and emails.

•Attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work.

•Intermediate to advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.

•Working knowledge of proprietary government estimating software/programs including but not limited to MII, SUCCESS, CostWorks and PACES would be beneficial.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

- Would STRONGLY prefer someone who is a citizen

- electrical experience preferred

- Needs to be someone who is cleared or can obtain a clearance after beginning

- HUGE plus if they have consulting experience

Capacity to work in a team setting with minimal supervision or direction

Experience in writing business documents, such as reports, detailed letters, and emails

Attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work

Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

Experience with estimating software including but not limited to BlueBeam, OST, Second Generation MCASES (MII), PACES and CostWorks is beneficial, but training will be provided as necessary.
