Description:
Seeking a Construction Engineering Inspector to perform construction materials testing and inspections on projects throughout the greater Cincinnati area and surrounding states. Responsibilities include on-site testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and other material. Documenting daily field testing activities, preparing daily reports and test data forms, and communicating with Project Managers, clients, and owner's representatives. Projects include large landfill construction, subdivision, commercial, government, healthcare facilities and more. This person will be expected to work almost completely in the field, and the daily/ weekly schedule may vary based on a variety of factors. Must be comfortable working in different weather conditions. Will be traveling in a company vehicle and home each afternoon most days. Will receive per diem and paid hotel if there is ever extensive travel.
Responsibilities:
-On-site testing of soil, concrete, aggregate, landfill liner & other materials
-Documenting daily field testing activities
-Prepare daily field reports and test data forms to document construction testing activities performed
-Communicate with Project Managers, Field Supervisors and Owners Representative daily
-Perform inspection of construction activities to ensure contractors work conforms to the requirements of the contract documents
-Review approved plans, specifications, codes and submittals required for performing inspection and testing duties

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
-Degree in Engineering, Geology, Construction Management, or related.
-If no degree: high school diploma with relevant construction materials testing experience/ certifications (ACI, NICET, Nuclear Density Gauge, etc.)
-Experience within construction, concrete, masonry, or related preferred
-High school diploma required
-Ability to travel to various job sites with commute varying
-Ability to work varying schedule including early mornings, overtime, and some weekends
-Valid drivers license and clean driving record
-open to entry level candidates
