Actalent is Hiring a Commissioning Engineer Near Evanston, IL

Description:

  • Oversee preparation of construction checklists, test procedures and commissioning sections of specifications
  • Survey existing buildings' MEP systems
  • Review shop drawings and material samples
  • Create field observation reports and commissioning issue logs
  • Conduct field reports to determine design and documentation is compliant with owner's requirements
  • Meet and coordinate with clients/owners, vendors, and internal engineering team
  • Participates in development of standard technical procedures and master documents
  • Review Submittals and RFI's

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Associate's degree in MEP Engineering
  • 10 years of experience working with building systems, preferably HVAC systems
    • This does NOT include internship experience
  • Working knowledge of temperature controls
  • PE preferred
  • Must have 3-5 years of commissioning experience
  • Knowledge with AEC codes, standards, materials, details, and construction techniques
  • Knowledge of EJCDC General Conditions, Contracts, Supplemental General Conditions
  • Experience working on site and coordinating with clients and design engineers
  • Experience using field testing tools
  • Must be local- Hybrid position
  • Must have valid, permanent work authorization
