Hiring an applications engineer/CNC programmer for a long-term position in Decatur. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants high visibility with leadership.
Job responsibilities:
- Edit programming, set up, and run new parts on a lathe independently
- Edit G and M codes on the machine (modify speeds, feeds, sometimes depth)
- work with brass parts
- updated appropriate process documentation
- troubleshoot and root cause analysis of issues
- implement new product designs
Qualifications:
- ability to set up, operate, and do some programming on lathes
- edit G and M codes
- experience with robotics and/or automation
- experience with brass, or metals
- strong communication skills
