Actalent is Hiring a CNC Programmer Near Decatur, IL

Hiring an applications engineer/CNC programmer for a long-term position in Decatur. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants high visibility with leadership.

Job responsibilities:

  • Edit programming, set up, and run new parts on a lathe independently
  • Edit G and M codes on the machine (modify speeds, feeds, sometimes depth)
  • work with brass parts
  • updated appropriate process documentation
  • troubleshoot and root cause analysis of issues
  • implement new product designs

Qualifications:

  • ability to set up, operate, and do some programming on lathes
  • edit G and M codes
  • experience with robotics and/or automation
  • experience with brass, or metals
  • strong communication skills
