Actalent is Hiring a Civil Design Engineer Near Grand Rapids, MI
Civil Design Engineer
The Civil Engineer will specialize in a variety of land development projects - involving storm water management design, utility design, sustainable design, site development. They will be involved in the design and permitting for development projects around the state of Michigan. Projects include schools, commercial buildings, retail, and institutional.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and site plan development including grading, drainage, zoning, and utilities
- Prepare project drawings, calculations, and specifications
- Prepare schematic design and drawings, layouts, drafting, and construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Evaluate land use and zoning requirements - zoning ordinances and site plan approval
- Prepare permit applications, agency review, and approvals.
- Site visits during the construction phase of the projects
Skills:
- Civil 3D
- Site development or land development
- Civil site design
Must Haves:
- 2 years of civil design experience in Civil 3D for land development / site development projects
Experience Level:
- Intermediate Level
