Description:
Responsible for the engineering design, analysis and documentation of aerodynamic structures and mechanical systems & sub-assemblies.
- Provide manufacturing support to fabricator and the installation/operations team.
• Familiar with common manufacturing methods
• Communicate technical status and issues to internal management and brief customers/clients as necessary.
• Mentor less experienced engineers.
• Promote, manage, engineer and document development of new products.
• Develop designs targeting highly constrained size, weight, and power environments.
• Working knowledge of Finite Element Analysis techniques.
• Interpret and develop requirements and analytical models.
• Knowledge of empirical aircraft stress analysis techniques
• Some CONUS/International travel may be required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• ABET accredited BS degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering and 3 years of relevant experience.
• The ideal candidate will be experienced in finite element analysis.
• The ideal candidate will have knowledge of related application software such as FEMAP/NASTRAN
• Must be eligible to work in the United States and maintain a security clearance.
