Job Description:

• Our client who builds satellites and space systems for a wide variety of government and commercial customers has multiple openings for Software Engineers!
• Its products include high-powered direct-to-home broadcast satellites, commercial weather satellites, digital audio radio satellites, Earth observation satellites and spot-beam satellites for data networking applications
• These 6 Engineers will be working on the PPE (Power and Propulsion Element) - a NASA project for a planned solar electric ion propulsion module, a major component of the Lunar Gateway. The PPE will allow access to the entire lunar surface and a wide range of lunar orbits and double as a space tug for visiting craft.

Common Responsibilities:

• C embedded real-time development for VxWorks
• Developing flight software for satellite communication, networking, SpaceWire, cFS (core flight software), handling of low level communication with payload
• Unit testing of code (must be willing to do both development and testing)
• 5545 chipset development

Breakdown:

• 1 role will be focused on VxWorks and maintenance of AWS Kernel across development environments and use of 5545 Errate chipset (Junior-Mid Level role)
• 1 role will be focused on low level HW/SW implementation of a multicore processor and 5545 chipset
• 2 roles will be focused on Layer 3 network architecture
• 1 role will be focused on SpW router manager, FIPs/crypto SW framework
• 1 role will be focused on VxWorks supporting development for DSU, MP IO, SDM
• Work to be performed: ACS IO, Manual Sequencer, Momentum Error Computation, HGA Control Laws, OO Control Laws, Global Estimator, GE Feedback, ST Processing, TLM, ACS FDIR Code refactor, AMB Code Refactor

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong C/C RTOS embedded experience
• Experience and willingness to do unit testing of code
• Various experience as it relates to the breakdown of the different roles
