JOB DESCRIPTION:
Work independently or lead a crew of technicians to complete small, medium and large sized projects installing (rough in, terminate, test and label) low voltage cabling for voice, data, AV, security, WAPs and fiber optic cabling systems. Our services include not only structured cabling but also outside plant cabling, wireless networks, full security systems with multiple types of cameras, CCTV, access control, intercom, paging, audio/visual systems and data centers.
Be able to manage daily schedules on projects to be able to respond to urgent service call requests from the office for troubleshooting and repairing existing cabling, security systems and audio systems as needed for our customers.
Usually running projects with one other technician on a daily basis but will also be assigned to lead projects with larger crews of up to /-10 technicians. Will act as the main POC representing ACS with the customer, GC or other trades onsite. Will report to the regional Operations Manager. have the ability to work independently when required. Will be responsible for managing all onsite aspects of projects assigned, conducting safety meetings, attending any required construction meetings, completing daily reports submitted to management, scheduling any city permit inspections, compiling all project documentation, including photos of finished work, to give to the office for proper project close out, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
At least 5 years experience performing Job Description responsibilities listed
BICSI Certification preferred
OSHA safety certifications preferred
Knowledgeable of all industry standards (NEC, TIA/EIA, BICS
Proficient in all aspects of structured cable installation
Excellent at reading and understanding blue prints/floor plans
Demonstrate advanced troubleshooting skills
Exhibit strong customer service skills
Demonstrate great communication skills - verbal and written
Basic computer skills - email, excel, word, etc.
Good understanding of paging, audio/visual, security surveillance and wireless access points
Additional certifications/training a plus
Must live in or near San Diego County
Must be a motivated self-starter and motivational leader for your team
Must have a reliable vehicle that accommodates a six foot ladder
Must provide own basic tool kit and PPE
Must have valid driver's license and be able to pass a post-offer drug screen, background check and Livescan fingerprint criminal check
Must have a high school diploma or GED
Must be able to lift 50 lbs: must be able to bend, stoop, reach and climb
Must be flexible to work nights or weekends as needed
Must be willing to occasionally travel to out of town projects as assigned (could be as much as 25% travel or as little as 5%)
