Location: Albany, NY (HYBRID)
We are actively seeking a skilled COBOL Developer with extensive experience in Government Taxation for our Albany, NY location. This is a hybrid position that involves technical design, development, maintenance, and end-user support of tax systems. If you meet the following qualifications, we encourage you to apply:
Mandatory Requirements
- Proven experience with a Government Taxation organization, demonstrating expertise in technical design, development, maintenance, and end-user support of tax systems.
- Strong background in handling complex penalty and interest calculations related to Corporation Tax, Personal Income Tax, or Sales Tax based on state or federal tax laws.
- Demonstrated expertise in revenue reporting for jurisdictional state or federal tax-based collections.
- Proficient in IDMS and DMLO in a mainframe environment.
- Extensive experience with COBOL programming, IBM MVS JCL, and TSO in an IBM Mainframe Environment.
- Familiarity with IBM DB2 for z/OS and IBM DB2 for LUW, including working with databases and using XQuery.
- Knowledge of IBM MQ Series.
- Experience with APS (Application Productivity System) and CICS in a mainframe environment.
- Background in application performance analysis and tuning.
- Proficiency in Websphere Process Server/SOA application design, incorporating JMS trigger queues, XML business objects, multi-platform services, and DB2/XML databases.
