ACRT, Inc. ACRT is currently seeking energetic experienced professionals who enjoy working outdoors. Transmission Vegetation Management New Construction Specialist position is ideal for professionals with an educational background in forestry, horticulture, arboriculture, environmental studies, conservation or related disciplines and with experience in these fields and line of work. Our Specialists perform identification, inspection, and evaluation of trees and brush along utility lines and areas of future utility lines; Submit inspection results to clients with recommendations; Plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of assigned tree clearance crews; Discuss and negotiate line-clearance crew access issues; Serve as a liaison between clients, tree crews, and client customers. Job Duties: Demonstrating and directing a solid commitment to all aspects of safety Oversee new construction clearing activities Perform project planning, scope development and project site work planning Travel to project sites, including overnight stays, within the service territory (OH, PA, WV, NJ, MD) will be required Support project estimate developments Minimum Requirements: High School diploma Bachelor of Science or Associate Degree in forestry, horticulture, environmental science preferred At least 3 years relevant experience in forestry, construction, project management, or environmental Experience with construction projects and/or utility vegetation management operations preferred Strong communication skills and abilities to work within a team setting Must be self-driven to independently manage assigned projects Ability to work independently in rugged terrain and inclement weather Ability to read and follow maps Valid driver's license Additional Information: Medical Dental Vision Group life insurance Optional life insurance Short- and long-term disability Vacation Holidays 401(k) Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Company vehicle/fuel card for work-related and commuting purposes Boot allowance program ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) with a great vesting schedule Pre-employment drug screening and background check required We are an Equal Employment/Affirmative Action employer.
