Acredale Animal Hospital Kempsville is located in Virginia Beach, Virginia and has been serving the Hampton Roads community in coastal Virginia since 1986. We have years of experience treating serious conditions and offering regular pet wellness care for dogs and cats.
We are a full-service animal hospital and welcome emergency treatment cases as well as pet patients in need of routine medical, surgical, and dental care. We have all of the modern equipment you would expect, including digital radiography, ultrasound, in-house laboratory equipment, forced triad electrosurgical cutting with ligasure, and oxygen supplementation housing for patients.

Overview:
Overnight Licensed Veterinary Technician opportunity!
We are seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our growing team and help ensure we are providing those great experiences. When you join our organization as a Veterinary Technician, you gain access to a peer network of over 5000 individuals, CE allowance, and Learning & Development programs to help you meet your career goals.
Responsibilities / Qualifications:
Position Skills:
  • Professional client communication and education obtaining medical histories and symptoms
  • Must be comfortable monitoring patients symptoms overnight
  • Laboratory procedures including but not limited to: hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals
  • Diagnostic imaging and implementing safety protocols of fellow staff members
  • Nursing skills including: restraining patients, administering medications PO/IV/SUBQ/IM, applying and maintaining bandages, proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture, surgery prep, anaesthesia monitoring

Position
Requirements:
  • Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state.
  • Associates degree in Veterinary Technology
