Location Description: We are in beautiful Coastal Virginia in the Hampton Roads area where there’s much to see and do year-round. The weather is beautiful with a climate that truly experiences the four seasons. Joint-Base Langley-Eustis is located on a peninsula, surrounded by the James & York Rivers, as well as the Chesapeake Bay. Those that like the outdoors will have their fill of fishing and watersports. You can find exhilarating skiing and hiking in Appalachia and beach getaways to Virginia Beach and the Outer Banks within a two-hour drive. History abounds in the colonial area of Williamsburg and the National Parks at Yorktown Battlefield (site of the British surrender to conclude the war for Independence) and Jamestown Settlement (site of the first settlement in the United States). The state’s capital, Richmond, and Norfolk both provide big city amenities like concerts, shows, and international airports within an hour. Division Description: AMIC/PKC is a diverse team of contracting professionals that integrates their functional experience with the technical expertise of our program management partners to provide world-class acquisition solutions for our mission partners. The division is divided into three branches. PKCA provides dedicated contracting support for AMIC/PMA-managed (aircraft maintenance) programs. PKCB and PKCC are aligned with AMIC/PMS and provide dedicated contracting support for the Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratories and Intelligence portfolios, respectively. Our personnel also regularly interface with the PLG Logistics Division, DRQ Quality Assurance Division, DRR Resource Management Division, DRJ Legal Division, and the other PK Divisions to proactively define requirements and collaboratively resolve issues.

Position Description: As a Lead Contracting Officer in PKCB, you will be supporting the Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) Branch. The PMEL IDIQ is valued over $450M providing support to 32 AF locations & 8 MAJCOMs. Responsibilities include all pre- and post-award activities for contracts assigned to include Source Selections. The structure of AMIC is to assign teams a Contracting Officer (CO) and CM to each contract. As the CO, you work collaboratively with the Multi-functional Team and with your CM. You will be responsible for updating your Branch Chief and keeping leadership apprised of any issues and happenings on the contracts you are assigned. You will work with stake holders such as small business, legal, program managers (PMs), and contracting officer representatives. Candidates should be able to plan and carry out assignments independently and offer up solutions to problems. AMIC is currently in the office one day a week, teleworking all other days. If mission requires, in office days can be increased. 100% remote will be considered for highly qualified candidates. If 100% remote, locality pay is based on place of work. AMIC is part of the ACQDemo Program. This position is rated on three factors for appraisals, which are Job Achievement/Innovation, Communication/Teamwork, and Mission Support.

Position KSA's:

· Bachelor's degree from an accredited education institution to grant baccalaureate degrees.

  • Minimum active Secret clearance
  • Air Force Unlimited Warrant required within a year if not already obtained.
  • Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA), Contracting Level II Certification
