ACPI Wood Products LLC is Hiring a Remote Whitewood Setup Team Lead

Job Description Cabinetworks Group is looking for a Team Lead in out Whitewood Setup department. This position will be on the 1st shift and will work Monday through Friday with occasional Saturday mandatory overtime. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Team Lead will work directly with the Department Supervisor to direct the departmental staff and production processes in coordination with and in the absence of the Production Supervisor. This position will be considered as the “back up” to the Production Supervisor and will be responsible for the management of their department under the direction of the Supervisor and Manager. This individual will provide positive leadership, work direction, and processes to Whitewood Setup employees. Ensures a safe work area and, under the direction of the supervisor, guides, trains, and coordinates activities in the department. This position will bill be responsible for: - Gather and prepare production and productivity metrics, data entry and management of metrics. - Assist with completion of employee performance evaluations. - Assist with employee communications on performance, attendance notices and etc. - Management and communication of department vacation calendars. - Participate in safety walks and audits. - Conduct and direct the COS daily meeting to ensure issues are identified/acted on and updates are provided to employees. - Responsible for successfully leading 5-S activities in the area and participating in daily, weekly, and monthly audits. - Other duties as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS: - Must have positive leadership skills, excellent communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills. - Must have the ability to communicate with all levels of management in a professional manner. - Must have a strong understanding of the production processes throughout the plant and excellent knowledge of the machines, operations, and production flow in the Whitewood Setup department. - Must be well organized, have a good attendance record and be willing to work overtime as needed. - Must have the ability to give direction positively, foster good employee relations among the area workers and accurately answer questions on work procedures or quality standards. - This individual must have excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook). Must have the skills to create charts and manipulate data in Excel and Word). - Must have the ability to work with very little direct supervision and appropriately handle confidential information.
