Description
The Dental Assistant provides the clinical support necessary to provide the patient an exceptional experience within AC Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics. Dental Assistants prepare for the patient visit following CDC established infection prevention and control guidelines sterilizing all dental equipment and sanitizing all surfaces within the operatory. Dental Assistants gather, review and document patient information including prescribed x-rays within the practice management software in preparation for the dentist. During dental procedures the dental assistant functions as additional hands for the dentist, reducing inefficiencies and helping ensure the patient is comfortable during treatment.
Requirements
· Dental X-ray certification
· BLS for healthcare provider
· Completed Dental Assisting program from a CODA accredited certificate program
· Certified in Expanded Duties
· Familiarity with dental coding
· Experience in behavioral management
· Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
· Charismatic, Empathetic, Patient, and Kind
· Strong ability to work in a team environment
· Willing to learn and coachable
· Experience with general office equipment
